General Rules and Regulations

General:

There will be zero tolerance regarding alcohol, drugs, or pets anywhere on the premises of Valley Raceway.
Absolutely no children aged 12 and under in the pit area before, during and after race events.
Any fighting or physical abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. If you have a disagreement, discuss it with an official. Disregarding this rule may result in being asked to leave the premises and/or be escorted by RCMP if necessary.
There will be no “Lucky Dog” awarded.

Flags:

GREEN- Passing at the start of the race will not begin until the green flag drops. The polesitter may not be passed until he/she passes under the starter’s stand.
YELLOW - If a yellow flag is displayed, racers must slow down immediately and await further instructions. Anyone continuing at racing speed after a yellow flag and light are shown may be penalized. Yellow flag laps do not count toward lap totals.
RED - If a red flag is displayed, all drivers must come to a complete stop as soon as practically possible. No driver is allowed to exit their vehicle unless it is an emergency. Drivers will stay where they are until further orders are given.
BLUE - Cars about to be lapped may be shown this flag. Move off of the racing line and allow leaders to pass by.
BLACK - Indicates driver malfeasance.You will be given one warning of a furled black flag.The next action is a full waved black flag,which means you are to go off the track for the full race.


MEATBALL (Black with orange centre) - Indicates vehicle mechanical problem. Driver must exit the track and correct the problem, re-entering under Wrangler’s direction.
WHITE - Waved with 1 lap remaining in the race. May be combined with checkered flag to indicate 2 laps remaining.
CHECKERED - If you don’t know this flag, get yourself a different hobby. Vehicles must slow after taking the checkered.

If a yellow flag is displayed within the last two laps of a race, a green-white-checkered scenario will ensue.

Banners:

On the first day of registration for any vehicle, an entry fee of $30 must be paid. This includes both the day’s registration and the fee for the class windshield banner.
This banner must be placed at the top of the windshield. If a windshield is replaced, the banner must be transferred to the new windshield. If a banner is destroyed, a new banner must be purchased for $10.
The banner MUST be in place. Any vehicle without a banner may race but will not be awarded points or payouts.

Laps:

Heat races will consist of 12 laps for all classes. There will only be 1 heat race per class.
Feature races will consist of 20 laps for all classes.
Yellow flag laps do not count toward the lap total. If you must exit the track during a yellow flag session, you will be given a 2-minute period in which to re-enter the track, after which green flag racing may resume. Vehicles re-entering the track must go to the rear. If you re-enter after the green flag is waved, you will be scored a minimum of 1 lap down.

Running Order:

All drivers will draw numbers to determine the starting order for the first race of the year.
The winner of the previous feature goes to the back of the next feature.
New drivers will start at the back of heats and features. Drivers will be moved up to normal positions in the lineup at track officials’ discretion.
Entrants who miss 2 consecutive race events must start at the back.
Drivers who miss the drivers’ meeting will start at the back of the field.

Points:

Heat points will be double that of previous years.
First place trophy with payout for feature race winners.

Gentleman’s Tap - Vehicles involved in a yellow flag situation resume at the back of the field regardless of fault. However, a driver may “tap” his roof with his hand to acknowledge that it was his/her fault. This should be done near the starter’s stand where it can clearly be seen by track officials.

Class Jumping:

There will be no bumping up.

Driver’s Meeting:

The driver’s meeting is mandatory, all drivers must attend.
Driver’s meetings will start promptly at the announced time, which will be consistent. Engines must be turned off during the meeting.
Drivers missing the meeting will start at the rear of the field.

Race Receivers:

Race receivers are mandatory for all drivers / vehicles.
Drivers without a receiver will start at the back of the field, both at the start and after any caution flag sessions.
Race receivers may be available to rent at the start of the race event if a driver does not have one. A $20 fee will be charged.
You break it, you bought it!

Roll Overs:

Any roll over will result in a mandatory check with a track medical care giver, who must give clearance to continue taking part in the day’s events.
Any vehicle involed in a roll over must be inspected by the track tech and deemed safe to continue takin gpart in the day’s events.

Driver Cement Pads:

Drivers are permitted to pour a cement pad in the pit area of their personal use. This will be done at the driver’s expense.
Drivers wishing to put in a pad must check with track owner before determining the location of the pad.
If the pad owner is no longer racing at Valley Raceway, or no longer wishes to use their pad, they may transfer the issue of the pad to another person. Track management must be notified if this occurs.
Drivers putting in pads must keep in mind that “their” pad in on the tract owner’s land. Legal “ownership” of the pad is restricted to the use of the pad for events at the track.
During other events at Valley Raceway where the pad’s driver is not present, VRW may use the pad at their discretion.
